"TOFU", a rapper from Wakayama, is set to release his new album "New Skool" on Wednesday, November 19.
The 10-track project was created together with the acclaimed producer "Homunculu$".

Wakayama has been drawing major attention as a region that continues to produce standout hip-hop artists. As a pioneer of that scene, "TOFU" has teamed up with his fellow hometown producer "Homunculu$" to deliver a monumental record.

The album blends elements of Trap, Ratchet, and R&B, with TOFU riding each beat effortlessly, creating a unique groove that feels both nostalgic and new. Among today's Japanese rap scene-often dominated by harder sounds-his choice to incorporate a classic Ratchet-style track stands out as a bold artistic statement.

Through this album, "TOFU" expresses his current state, lifestyle, and vision as an artist in a raw and authentic way.
Alongside the release, a nationwide tour is also scheduled, signaling the start of a new chapter for "TOFU".

  • TOFU

    TOFU is a rapper and artist from Wakayama City, Japan. He first gained national attention through the ABEMA audition show RAPSTAR Birth. In 2020, he released his debut album The Legend of the TOFU, featuring the track "SAKURA," whose music video reached No.1 on the UK iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap chart. In 2024, he teamed up with hometown collaborator MIKADO for the joint album New Vintage, introducing a bold new sound that resonated with a wide audience. Known for designing his own album covers and apparel, TOFU continues to push boundaries with a distinct artistic vision that sets him apart in Japan's hip-hop scene.
