O'Jizo, an Irish/Celtic music band featuring Kozo Toyota (Irish flute, tin whistle), Koji Nagao (guitar, mandolin), and Hirofumi Nakamura (accordion, bouzouki), presents their fifth full-length album.

It has been 10 years since O'Jizo first expanded their music overseas, primarily to North America. Their international touring, which began at festivals on the U.S. West Coast, has grown even further since the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival in Canada in 2022. This journey has taken them to Dublin, Ohio, Milwaukee - one of the largest Celtic festivals in the U.S.- and all the way to Ireland.

Born from a desire to capture the wonderful connections made with so many artists over the past decade, this album features a total of nine guest musicians, with different collaborators recorded on each track. The repertoire consists mainly of tunes encountered during their travels abroad and compositions by artists they have worked with, creating an album deeply steeped in the spirit of their journey.

The title "Wa" carries multiple meanings: Japanese peace/harmony, a circle, an exclamation of joy ("Wa!"), or perhaps "Wonderful Artists." It might even represent the repeated exclamations of "Wow, amazing!" during the recording sessions with these brilliant guests.
