Born and raised in Osaka, hoodiee moved to the United States after graduating from high school to pursue a university degree. Immersing himself in the birthplace of hip hop, he absorbed the authentic culture and essence of the genre before returning to Japan. In June 2021, he channeled these foundational experiences into creating his own music, officially kicking off his rap career. In June 2022, hoodiee made a powerful statement with the release of his debut album, Pray 22. The album features notable collaborations, including aMi from Ibarakis music collective YELLOW MASS SOUNDS, and Watson, the highly talked about rapper hailing from Tokushima. The standout track Eyday became a massive viral hit, accumulating over 5 million streams and cementing his presence in the scene. Proving his consistency, hoodiee released his latest mixtape, Mixed Personalities, in February 2025.
