Higashi no Sora Front Cover

Ryonosuke Sakaguchi's third album "Higashi no Sora((meaning"Eastern Sky" in English) )" will be released on August 10, 2024 (Sat).

Sakaguchi Ryonosuke is a singer-songwriter based in Tokyo. Higashi no Sora" is his third album in six years, following his first "Fune wa Mata Kowareru" (2015) and second "Mou Sayonara wa Iwanai" (2018), both released on "DIW /fuji,happy sad".

Production members include Sakurai (syn), Kouya Yamada (ds/per), Fumito Sato (ba), Junpei Kawamura (Comic Up...) (gt) .

This album reflects elements of folk, psychedelic rock, shoegaze, and sacred songs that Sakaguchi loved to listen to during its creation.

While the album contains many overdubbed recordings, it also includes acoustic guitar pieces, as in his previous works, and while maintaining his pride as a folk singer, he pursued his own unique sound world throughout the album.

Six of the eight songs on the album were recorded at musician Isao Seki's studio "atonarium," and the recording was broadcast live on his YouTube channel "FPBN Forest People Broadcast Network," a groundbreaking experiment. The archive of all eight recordings has been preserved. An archive of all eight sessions is also available.

Sakaguchi and Sakurai did the mixing, and Nakamura Soichiro of Peace Music was in charge of the mastering.
