Bear Motes
Bear Motes is an artist from Okinawa, Japan. Crossing genres like Reggae, Hip-Hop, and Rock, he expresses his mixed roots and life journey through what he calls Mix Roots Music. Growing up within Okinawa's unique champuru culture, he has lived with the identity of being mixed embracing the contradictions, emotions, and real experiences that come with it. His sound carries those truths, raw and unfiltered. Unbound by genre, Bear Motes moves freely between words, rhythm, and melody. His aim is to raise the level of consciousness and use his abilities to make the world a better place. Through music, he shares the beauty of blending differences and finding harmony. He is a member of two creative collectives: MAKE SUM, a crew built on the concept of creating something, and Mr.Freedom.
