"Summer Escape" is toybee's first-ever summer song.
Following their previous EP, the track was produced by Kenji Ueda of Kuroneko Domei and formerly of the pillows. The entire song was recorded live in a single take, capturing not only the performance of all four members, but also the atmosphere they created together in the room. The result is a fresh and vivid band sound.
It is a song about the kind of summer that suddenly comes back to you-the one you can never return to. It may have been filled with happy memories, yet somehow it still carries a touch of sadness. "Summer Escape" captures that nostalgic summer everyone finds themselves looking back on.
With lyrics that evoke different memories and landscapes for each listener, and a sound that feels warmly familiar, "Summer Escape" is toybee's soundtrack to a fleeting summer getaway.

toybee
A 3-piece "New Generation Rock 'n' Roll & Pops" band formed in 2021 and based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. Under the concept of "TOY ROCK"-rock 'n' roll that is brighter and more fun than anyone else's-they have garnered passionate support in the Tokyo live house scene. In January 2025, they successfully sold out their solo show at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO, proving their growing momentum. In January 2026, TOYBEE released the E.P. "TOYROCK INVASION," welcoming their first-ever producer, Kenji Ueda (Kuroneko Domei / ex-the pillows). With their largest solo concert to date confirmed for March 22 at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM, TOYBEE is a band on the rise to watch.
