Jiya the Turtle

This album is a collection of songs about two turtles I lived with:
Jiya and Kameko.

Turtles do not speak.
But by sharing the same room and the same time,
a closeness slowly grew-something like family.

A back turned toward the window, watching the outside world.
The soft sound of footsteps moving across the floor.
The quiet presence when leaving, and when coming home.

Nothing extraordinary happened.
We simply lived together, grew older,
and let time accumulate in silence.

This album has no rush and no spectacle.
It is a record of time-
spent with lives that move slowly, but surely.
