I set myself in Hokkaido to start the musical activities.
Hokkaido is the beautiful land which is located in the Japanese north.
I found out that I was blessed with the grace of nature such as the magnificent earth, the boundless sky, and the straight sunlight.
Not only nature, I noticed that all the things in this universe including the audience, and the people who took part in my musical activities, supported me.

This album, "HEAVEN'S GRACE" is named after the gratitude to the nature.
It is also dedicated to my mother, Keiko who had suddenly passed away last autumn.
She always encouraged me when I had hard time.
Represent the HEAVEN'S GRACE with my respect.
Keiko means grace in Japanese.

  • Hikaru Tanimoto

    He is a Japanese unique acoustic guitarist. He started playing the guitar at age 16, and started his professional career at age 17. In those days, he used to practice at least 15 hours every day. By using only one acoustic guitar without multiplex recordings, he can express various sounds such as Sitar, Percussion, Steel pan, Japanese traditional instruments, etc. He has provided music for Nissan automobile ads and SEGA video game "Sonic and the Black Knight(Sonic the Hedgehog series)". In 2010, he was ranked top 20 as most popular Japanese guitarist in Swing Journal, a popular magazine for jazz music. In 2013, he participated in hide(X JAPAN) tribute album.
