The legendary Nigerian artist Fela Kuti incorporated the essence of jazz and funk into West African pop music, high life, and established that sound style in the late 60's. Afrobeat has been re-evaluated since the 90s, and in recent years, bands that inherit the spirit of fella have been appearing one after another from all over the world. . Here in Japan, the number of bands that have absorbed and absorbed this style in their own way is increasing, but among them JariBu Afrobeat Arkestra is gaining popularity for its hot live performances. They performed at Fuji Rock Festival twice, in 2009 and 2014, and became known worldwide after releasing their first album "MEDIACRACY" from German label Tramp Records in 2012.
