The lantern still burns deep into the night.
A husband stumbling home at dawn.
An angry wife with folded arms.
A bowl of miso soup still steaming on the table.
She's furious.
But she never throws him out.
"Beranmee!" is an Edo Boom Bap hip hop track about the strength of a hardworking downtown wife, and the foolish but lovable man she somehow still cares about.
Humor, frustration, warmth, and humanity collide inside a tiny Edo nagaya house beneath the lantern glow.
A loud voice.
A warm meal.
A place to return to.
BERANMEE!
Liminal Reverie is an instrumental music project centered on the theme between reality and dreams. Between day and night. After the crowds fade away. Moments where reality and dreams have not yet fully separated. Liminal Reverie turns the lingering presence, afterglow, and quiet atmosphere of those moments into sound. The project is built on two complementary musical axes: Japanese side: Edo Lofi Western side: Liminal Reverie Each explores a different world, while sharing the same sense of liminality.
