Rock'n Roll Kaz
Rock'n Roll Kaz kicked off his music career in the 1980s, driven by pure passion and raw energy. In his twenties, he formed his first band, Rock'n Roll Genius, which made waves with a legendary street performance in Harajukus famous pedestrian paradise. The show caught the attention of NHK and international media, igniting what became the Pedestrian Paradise Band Boom across Japan.
In 1988, the band won the Grand Prix at the Yamaha BAND EXPLOSION '88 (Kanto-Koshinetsu region), setting the stage for a major debut. But after an unexpected twist of fate, the band fell apart. Even after signing with a major label later on, industry turmoil led Kaz to step away from the mainstream scene.
Still, Kaz never stopped creating. Over the years, he's recorded more than 200 songs- from polished studio tracks to raw demos captured in intimate home sessions. Now, 16 carefully chosen and newly remastered tracks bring his musical journey full circle- a testament to the spirit of true rock'n roll that refuses to fade.
