My Little Round Friend

Carried by Dreams

Today, you shyly told me

About something new

That you were going to start

You always try your best

Though sometimes you get scared

I feel at ease whenever you are near

La-la, la-la, la-la-laa

La-la, la-la, la-la-laa

I’ll be cheering you on

I’ll be here for you, my little round friend

I was baking star-shaped cookies

But the points broke off

And one looked just like your face

So round, so round, so very cute

When you bump into me, it doesn’t hurt

You wobble and bounce, so very cute

La-la, la-la, la-la-laa

La-la, la-la, la-la-laa

I’ll be cheering you on

I’ll be here for you, my little round friend

    My Little Round Friend

    Carried by Dreams

An affectionate English-language song about a little friend who is shy, earnest, and always trying their best.
Told from the perspective of someone cheering them on, it celebrates the courage to try something new and the comfort of simply being together. A star-shaped cookie loses its points and becomes a familiar round face-a small, playful reminder of a friend worth cheering for.
