It was constructed after Minamoto no Yoritomo established the shogunate in Kamakura in 1192.
This is the road where the retainers of the Kamakura Shogunate rushed to answer the call,
"Now, to Kamakura!"
This road tells the story of the rise and fall of the Kanto warriors.
