遥かなる南の海に向かい

いつか見た陽光をもとめ

走りゆく

絶えず岩を削りゆく荒き波

潮満つる春の 闇を照らし出す

紀南の果ての 灯台の光

水平線の彼方まで 闇は広がり

響く潮騒のなか

我が額は一筋の陽光を受けたり

紀伊の最南の潮を過ぎゆき

その源なる古道に向かい

いつか見た飛滝の神をもとめ

走りゆく

神宿る清々しき水に触れて

轟く飛滝の姿を仰ぎ見る

紀南の清らかなる 滝の奔流

熊野古道に続く 神と精霊の道

青き空のごとく 心は晴れわたり

命の夫婦杉に 偉大なる力を受けたり

素晴らしき紀伊の 自然の巡り

古来からのしるしに、 畏怖の念を抱く

我が道をもとめた旅は

永遠なる神々に出会い

その御名を敬い、ただ走りゆく

Passing the white beaches of Kii,
heading towards the distant southern sea,
seeking the sunlight I once saw,
I run on.

The rough waves constantly erode the rocks
Illuminating the darkness of spring as the tide rises
The light of the lighthouse at the edge of Kinan

Darkness stretches to the horizon, and amidst the resounding sound of the waves, a single ray of sunlight hits my forehead.

Passing the southernmost tide of Kii
Towards the ancient road that is its source
Seeking the god of the waterfall I once saw
I run

Touching the pure water where a god resides,
gazing up at the roaring figure of the waterfall,
the pure torrent of the waterfall in Kinan

The path of gods and spirits leading to the Kumano Kodo
My heart is clear and bright like the blue sky
I receive great power from the sacred cedar trees.

The magnificent cycle of nature in Kii
I feel awe at the ancient signs
My journey in search of my own path
I encounter eternal gods
I revere their names and simply continue onward
