THIS IS HYPERMETAL is a digital album that reimagines the tracklists of Earthists. previously released EPs HYPERMETAL and GRANDRAY, bringing the songs together in a new sequence and adding the brand-new track WUNDER.

Built around metal while incorporating elements of Vocaloid, techno, and electronic music, the album brings Earthists. genre-defying sound together as a complete expression of their own unique style, HYPERMETAL.

The new track WUNDER is an epic, nearly five-minute journey inspired by the feeling of drifting endlessly through space. Floating electronic textures, a massive band sound, and emotional melodies intertwine as the song constantly shifts and evolves, making it a defining piece of the album's overall world.

Drum arrangements on tracks 2, 6, and 8 were handled by Tatsuya Amano (Crossfaith), while the entire album was mixed and mastered by Jeff Dunne, who has also worked on previous Earthists. releases.

    Formed in 2015, Earthists. is a four-piece Hypermetal band based in Tokyo. Blending elements of vocaloid, techno, and metal, they have pioneered their own genre, HYPERMETAL a boundary-breaking fusion of sound and visuals that transcends both genre and nationality. As an independent band, they have built a passionate global fanbase. Shortly after their formation, they signed with the renowned American label Tragic Hero Records, releasing two full-length albums. Their headline tours across Asia and Europe further established their international presence. In July 2024, they released the EP HYPERMETAL, a work that redefined the bands identity. Following its release, Earthists. embarked on a headlining tour through Japan, China, and Singapore, and appeared at major festivals in Thailand and China. Their December solo show at Shimokitazawa Shelter sold out immediately, solidifying their growing momentum. In 2025, they launched a new live movement called 4D, alongside three other bands from their generation. The tour, which spanned Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, sold out all shows and sparked a new wave in the scene. Earthists. has also been invited to perform as a guest act on tours with major Japanese bands such as SiM and Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, steadily building connections with the domestic mainstream. Constantly evolving and never bound by convention, Earthists. continues to deliver the sound of the next generation to the world.
