"Water Vein" is the second chapter of neomii's Five Seasons Project, representing the theme of Water.

This release includes two tracks: the main version with vocals and an instrumental version.

Inspired by an instrumental composition by accordionist Rieko Iwaki, the song explores the eternal circulation of water and life across time. Ancient oceans, underground streams, rainfall, and the water flowing through our bodies are woven together into a poetic reflection on our shared origins.


The recording features neomii's vocals, layered harmonies, and kalimba, alongside African kora performed by Yasuhiro Sakairi. Blending Celtic-inspired melodies with tribal textures, the track creates a deeply immersive and meditative atmosphere.


"Water Vein" is an invitation to listen to the hidden currents connecting past, present, and future through the flow of life itself.

    Neomii | Japanese Singer-Songwriter and Looping Artist Neomii is a Sound of Leaves (Otonoha) artist who weaves poetic Japanese lyrics with the sound of kalimba and Karen harp. In her solo project "Otonoha Landscape", Neomii uses a looper to layer her voice and acoustic instruments in real time, creating evolving soundscapes that move between silence and motion and form a wide sonic universe. Her music expresses a clear and immersive atmosphere that captures fragments of an invisible world. She is currently leading the "Five Seasons Project", a five-part series exploring the cycle of life through sound and collage art. Each release represents one season: Forest, Water, Wind, Earth, and Cosmos. Her latest release "Water Vein" continues this journey, combining Japanese vocals, kalimba, and African kora to express the flow and continuity of life through sound.
