Like the songs I've released so far, this track is an attempt to encapsulate various musical memories that I've found amazing into a single composition-a somewhat audacious experiment that, in all humility, gave birth to this song. The frenetic drums draw inspiration from the image of Drum and Bass being further invaded by Jazz and Rock. The electric bass, influenced by memories of Paul McCartney's bass in songs like 'Glass Onion' and 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps,' or the bass sound of The Jesus Lizard, takes the lead in the first half of the song. The chaotic sounds are held together by a shoegaze-like guitar sound and simple, melodic vocals.
In the latter part, the electric bass gives way to a synth bass, and the song transitions into a more electronic landscape.
In recent years, significant events have unfolded worldwide- the pandemic caused by COVID-19, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the conflicts between Palestine and Israel, and major earthquakes in Japan, among others. While the idea for this song has been around for a few years, the lyrics revolve around the theme of "believing that there are always people who do not lose hope even when the world is in distress." The aggressive sound of the song resonates not as a critical attack on the world, but as a powerful impulse towards the poignant feelings of "hope."
Although I couldn't release any music in 2023, I quietly embedded positive sentiments into this new song. I hope that, as a form of redemption for myself, it will inspire a new sense of progress.
I hope my tracks convey the kind of music I want to create and the respect I have for music and other arts that I admire. If this kind of music resonates with you, I couldn't be more pleased.
