The simple two-character notification, "Read," lights up next to the sent message. Yet, hours pass with no reply. This tightening chest pain, mimicking a silent rejection, is sublimated into a modern dark electropop track. Intentionally casting aside the flowing melodies typical of conventional pop, this song adopts a finely bouncing staccato melody that evokes the frantic tapping on a liquid crystal screen. Stripping away unnecessary chords, the minimalist track is built solely on a cold bassline and the evocative "ma" (space) of the vocals. This aesthetic of subtraction emotionally heightens the real sense of isolation and anxiety that everyone experiences today, delivering a cutting-edge, trendy number.
