Judgment in Silence
Yasuhiro Soda's ambient music doesn't aim solely for silence.
Within his sound lies the judgment made during performance: which sounds to retain and which changes to accept.
He creates one-take, unedited works daily using only a guitar and effect pedals.
It's not about the sparseness of the sounds, but rather music that draws attention to the concentration of the moment when sound is born.
