Artist Profile

  • DJ AP

DJ AP Nagoya-based DJ and trackmaker, with 70+ production and beat-placement credits to his name. He has worked with a wide range of artists, from ¥ellow Bucks, K.O., Playsson, RENCH, Andre, Nutt The Purp, LIQUID and Jap The Ripper, the members drawing attention in Nagoya and the Tokai region, to exciting young talents from all over Japan. Known for discovering them early and supplying them with beats, he is a rite of passage for rappers on the rise in Nagoya, and most of them have passed through AP's work. His joint productions with DJ HIRo, currently on an Asia tour, include "Just a lil bit (feat. Temma & BabyNyca)", "Out Of My Head (feat. RION & Ark tiger)" and "Gimme Gimme (feat. 2Marley & Yatt)". A producer who stands out front, he keeps releasing constantly, each record built around a different featured artist.
