People gradually forget their memories.
The music they loved, the streets they walked together, the taste of a casual drink, the starry sky they gazed up at that day-and eventually, even that person's "voice."
"aiko (that I can no longer hear in *her* voice)" is a song that attempts to preserve these fading memories by putting them into words, one by one.
Kayoko Yoshizawa, AKB, and "BABY BABY" played on the guitar. "Remember Me" heard at PIGSTY. A four-day, three-night trip shuttling between Ichijoji and Nishinari. A curry shop open only during the day; *ryoku-wari* (shochu with green tea) at a shop run by an elderly couple; a "Red Eye" cocktail mixed from a cup of ice, beer, and tomato juice bought at a convenience store. And, on a late-summer night, lying on the roadway and gazing up together at a starry sky so beautiful it seemed otherworldly.
What is depicted here is no earth-shattering event.
It captures moments spent with someone-moments that might seem trivial, yet for that very reason, can never return in quite the same form.
"People forget voices first / They forget even the loves that were steeped in emotion / That is why I sing of you."
I sing precisely because I know I will forget.
Before the memories fade, I turn the time spent with that person into words and songs, preserving them.
And finally, the song continues with the thought that if I ever spot you in the audience again, I will sing this song while looking you in the eye.
This is not a simple song about heartbreak.
It is a song addressed once more to someone from the past, born of holding both a fierce determination not to forget and the resigned acceptance that, someday, I will forget nonetheless.
The "aiko" in the title resonates not merely as a reference to a specific artist or song, but as a symbol of the music itself-music once shared with another person.
Singing it now, before it fades away. "Mou Ano Ko no Koe de Kikenai aiko" is a song that transforms such deeply personal and poignant memories into the individual recollections of each listener.
