"Winds of Impermanence" was born from three expressions I encountered on my journey through Japanese dictionaries: mujō (impermanence), mujō no kaze (the winds of impermanence), and mujō jinsoku (the swiftness of impermanence).
Everything that is born must one day perish, and every flower that blooms must eventually fall.
The winds of impermanence come without warning, and no one is beyond their reach.
Yet if everything is always changing, then sorrow, too, cannot last forever.
Time moves on, and people die.
And still, new life is born.
Because nothing lasts forever, we have today-and that is why I choose to love you now.
This song is about living fully in the present, amid the ever-changing flow of life and time.
Kneeking Records is a label that expresses the journey through dictionaries in music. Founded by Yoshihiro Sato, a calligrapher, dictionary traveler, and former world kickboxing champion. Since 2013, he has read, written, and shared words almost every day. In 2025, he began transforming these works into music. The journey continues to grow. The sound spans reggae, j-pop, r&b, soul, house, gospel, funk, ska, and sometimes punk rock. It values the rhythm of language and creates music that feels natural and refined. Each piece is inspired by calligraphy and shaped into sound.
