From Purgatory

CKOUR

CKOUR's debut EP, Ride On CKOUR., captures the band at a pivotal point in their evolution, bringing together songs they have been performing live since their early days with new material yet to be heard on stage.

The EP moves freely between a wide range of sounds, from the melodic edge of UK rock to contemporary alternative rock, showcasing the band's versatility without losing its sense of identity. At the heart of it all is vocalist Horie, whose distinctive voice ties these contrasting sounds together and gives each track a distinctly CKOUR character.

The title Ride On CKOUR. was originally used for the band's own headline show in January. The EP carries that spirit forward, bringing together songs that have been shaped and refined through live performance alongside new material that points toward the band's next chapter. In that sense, the record connects CKOUR's past, present, and future in a single release.

The majority of the recording and production was handled by the band themselves, allowing them to take full control of the process and pursue their vision down to the smallest details. The result is a deeply personal introduction to CKOUR - one that reflects where the band has been, where they are now, and where they are headed next.

  • CKOUR

"Car" Band in Japan. A four-piece band launching in 2025. Their strengths lie in memorable guitar riffs and catchy, J-POP-inspired melodies. Their well-crafted songs, which occasionally take unpredictable turns, are a notable strong point. The band handles most creative aspects themselves, including recording, mixing, mastering, and music video production, making their high level of self-production another appealing feature.
