Girl's Talk

Aasa, who has been drawing attention with the phrase "Don't get too full of yourself," releases her first EP, Girl's Talk. The six-track project includes "Sorry," which has surpassed 100 million total views on TikTok.

The first three tracks _"Sorry," "GAME," and "Bare-Bare" _ capture the unfiltered thoughts and feelings Aasa has toward a romantic partner. Straightforward lines such as "Don't get too full of yourself" and "I might forgive you, but your curfew is 5 PM" highlight Aasa's bold and unapologetic character.

On the fourth track, "Too Late," Aasa declares, "It's too late, I finally woke up," over a dance-driven production, marking the moment when the story begins to move toward the end of the relationship.

On the fifth track, "Update Love," she sings, "We've overwritten everything, there's nothing left of the past. Updating with a new love," standing alongside girls who have experienced the end of a relationship and encouraging them to move forward.

The EP closes with "By Your Side," where Aasa showcases one of her greatest strengths: R&B. Beyond heartbreak, the song reaches out to girls going through painful experiences, reminding them through her music that they are not alone.

The entire project follows the emotional timeline of a single relationship. Even previously released songs take on new meaning when heard in this sequence, allowing one continuous story to emerge across all six tracks.

From frustration with a partner, to the moment of choosing to walk away, to finding new love and ultimately being there for someone with a wounded heart, Aasa remains on the same level as her listeners throughout every stage. True to its title, Girl's Talk feels like having an intimate conversation with Aasa through music.

Track 02, "GAME," also carries a special history. Aasa originally created the song with producer Takada Junpei approximately eight years ago and had kept it unreleased ever since. When the concept for Girl's Talk came together, the song proved to be a perfect fit for the project and was finally selected for release.

The artwork was created by vVeSt using Aasa's own nails and nail parts, building the visual world of Girl's Talk from personal elements that belong to Aasa herself.
