Originally composed by jazz pianist Billy Taylor and famously performed by Nina Simone in 1967 as a civil rights anthem, "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free" has been covered by many renowned artists including John Legend & The Roots and The Derek Trucks Band.
