• JAW-HURRY

  Jaw and Wai-Bo met in 2022, Jaw (vocals & guitar) Wai-Bo (Bass and additional instruments). After about a year of thorough studio work and discussions, they started their live performances and recordings as a two-piece band "JAW-HURRY" in 2023. The band theme is "music that mixes different types of sounds like a toy box or an amusement park,'' and although the sound is based on an acoustic form, the recordings show a colorful face that goes beyond that. Furthermore, there is an absolute promise between the two of them that ``they will never use any equipment to correct any discrepancies in pitch or rhythm when recording'' The ``initiating idea'' for the music and lyrics is always created by Jaw, and after that, all songs are co-written by Jaw and Wai-Bo, although there are differences in percentage. (Lyrics are mainly written by Jaw and the music side is composed by Wai-Bo... the ratio is high for each member respectively) The work "JUNCTION" is JAW-HURRY's commemorable1st mini album. It contains not only band arrangements unique to recording but also acoustic sounds (as in the album track HUNKY DORRY) which was recorded in one take using a single microphone by the two of them. Jaw's extremely powerful vocals and Wai-Bo's bass, drums, Stratocaster, keyboard, and MIX, are all released without any over-production. Jaw's favorite instrument is the Gibson J-45. Wai-Bo's favorite instruments are the Takamine B-10, Steinberger XM-2, and various others.
