This song was written to confront and challenge my own weakness - the part of me that blames others or takes the easy way out.
I don't want to end up making excuses and running away, only to look back and say, "I never became who I wanted to be." I want to keep pursuing music while making sure my actions live up to my words. To do that, I feel it's important to take the time to face my own weaknesses. In my recent releases, I've often collaborated with other artists who contributed their performances. However, this track is entirely self-produced, with every aspect of the production completed by me alone.
