Gather On Gyro's PLANET

Gyro, an underground rapper from Osaka, has released a new track that samples the opening theme of *Animal Crossing: New Horizons* to express his unique artistic vision.
Gyro first burst onto the scene this past April through "SONGWARS," a project utilizing Discord and Twitch that pits rappers against one another in musical battles a platform that previously helped discover popular artists like Worldwide Skippa and Siero. He has since been steadily gaining recognition, notably releasing a collaboration in August with Jairo Nark, a fellow SONGWARS participant and winner.
Now, Gyro has released "Atsumare Gyro no Wakusei" (Gather Round Gyro's Planet), his first single since that album.
The track features a beat that samples the opening theme of *Animal Crossing: New Horizons*. Produced entirely by Gyro himself, the song is marked by the memorable producer tag, "Can we link up today? Gyro." True to his artist tagline-"Gyro is PLANET"-he likens a planet to his own worldview, incorporating lyrics and wordplay that invite the listener into his universe.
With his rapid release schedule, Gyro is an artist whose future moves and music are well worth watching.
