Isn't peace education just ideological brainwashing?

Is "peace education" truly teaching children how to think for themselves?
Teaching the tragedy of war and the importance of peace is essential. But when one particular interpretation of history or political viewpoint is presented as the only correct answer, leaving little room for questioning or disagreement, education can begin to resemble ideological conditioning.
"Is Peace Education Just Ideological Indoctrination?" does not reject anti-war education itself. Instead, it raises questions about political neutrality in education, the role of teaching materials and instructors, and the importance of allowing young people to doubt, question, and form their own conclusions.
Peace should not mean simply accepting an answer handed down by someone else. It should come from learning about history, diplomacy, national security, and different perspectives-and continuing to think independently.
"Education that teaches us how to think, or education that tells us what to think?"
