Takehiro produced the album *Limited Express Odorikos Journey* in 2022; while he had created several works prior to that, his output has consistently centered on the theme of the beautiful scenery of Izu.
The tracks included here were primarily selected from songs that for one reason or anothdid not make the cut for those previous albums; they consist largely of material for which Watanabe himself had not given the green light for release.
The collection also features a new recording of "Moeru Kokoro" (Burning Heart) a song he used to perform live for the first time in 14 years, alongside one brand-new track.
Although he has recently seemed somewhat uncertain about the direction of his music production, one hopes that this album will serve as a springboard for a future collection of new material.

Artist Profile

  • Takehiro

    Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1983, he is a composer, arranger, and player of piano and synthesizers. He formerly worked as a public junior high school teacher (specializing in Japanese language and serving as a choral club advisor and conductor) but resigned due to health issues. Subsequently, he founded WATATAKE Sound Co., Ltd., operating from 2013 to 2017, where he handled tasks such as sound source management, music production, and video creation. In late 2017, he signed a contract with TuneCore and began distributing his original music to both domestic and international audiences. He garnered attention with a collection of Japanese children's song covers released in 2018; since then, he has released arrangements of children's songs and traditional school songs, comical animal-themed tracks, and humorous original compositions. He also produces easy-listening albums, a genre he has enjoyed since childhood. Influenced by easy-listening masters such as Paul Mauriat, Franck Pourcel, and Caravelli, he creates music that appeals to a wide range of generations, though his recent work focuses primarily on the easy-listening style and evocative, atmospheric music.
