Artist Profile
Early Spring Jackets
Based in Seisho, on the western edge of Kanagawa, Japan, this duo brings together Motoki Watanabe and Ry Muta. Rooted in the folk sounds shaped by the coastal Seisho region,, they blend acoustic textures, loose and lively grooves, and lyrics that capture little moments of everyday life into music with a warm, down-to-earth charm. In 2026, joined by support musicians Masanobu Mizuno and Charlie W.II, they released their debut album, Seisho Folky. Like throwing on a light jacket at the first hint of early spring, they keep things easygoing and enjoy making music at their own pace.
