Aligned Breathing

Aligned Breathing, draws inspiration from the moments of slow, harmonious alignment between breath and body experienced at the yoga and Pilates studio attached to Shonan T-SITE.
Centred on the theme of the sensation of breath and body coming into alignment, the track deliberately omits beats, using sustained tones and expansive spatial processing to weave a soundscape that gently guides the listener's awareness inwards.

This minimalist soundscape, which places great importance on the silences and reverberations within the music, naturally complements activities such as yoga, Pilates and meditation where one is mindful of one's breath and bodily movements whilst capturing the serene morning atmosphere that pervades Shonan T-SITE.

The cover artwork is a collaborative piece featuring a photograph by Shunji Kumano, a surf photographer based in Shonan, and artwork by Masato Maekawa (tAnkers Inc.), a versatile illustrator and creative director.

The Shonan T-SITE concept album, which includes the track Aligned Breathing, is a music project in which Shimon Hoshino weaves together fragments of daily life and the atmosphere of places such as Shonan Life Town through sound. Further tracks reflecting Shonan life are scheduled for advance digital release in the future.
