A song inspired by memories of feedback ringing through basement venues and the youth spent in live houses.

Everyone has a period in life when they are completely absorbed in something. Even as those days fade into the past, the passion and inspiration they created continue to shape who we are.

This track captures the lingering echoes of those moments and the feeling that youth never truly disappears.

Artist Profile

  • GIRLS TAPE STORE

Formed in 2002, the duo consists of vocalist Yukie and guitarist and programmer Takashi Matsuda. In the same year, they released their debut CD Im in mood through minty fresh Japan, followed by their second CD in the clouds from sucre records in 2003. With Yukies clear and delicate vocals and a soft blend of electronica and dream pop textures, their music quietly gained attention among indie pop listeners both in Japan and overseas. After a period of inactivity, the project later resumed with a focus on digital releases. Tracks such as niji, Sapporo, and distance have been highly praised, particularly by listeners in Northern Europe including Sweden. Songs such as to the dizzling you and Sapporo were featured on Spotify official playlists, bringing the project growing global recognition. As of June 2026, they continue to release music consistently as digital only releases.
