CGC, which stands for Cant Get Close, is a song about the struggle of chasing something that always feels just out of reach. As I pursue my dreams and desires, I turn the frustration of never quite getting there into motivation to keep moving forward. No matter how far away my goals may seem, I keep believing in the future I envision for myself and pushing forward to make it a reality.

    VALAN, originally from Setagaya, Tokyo, left Japan at the age of five and spent most of his life growing up in Guam, USA. He also lived briefly in Jakarta, Indonesia, before returning to Tokyo, where he launched his music career in 2024. Known for his unique style, VALAN has quickly drawn attention for his melodic flow and bilingual lyrics, resonating with audiences both in Japan and abroad.
