THE FLYING BED 2006 2010 Active as the frontman of the alternative rock band The Worlds Code. During regular street performances in Shinjuku he was discovered by world-renowned recording engineer Seigen Ono and experienced studio recording. Handled everything himself from composition, lyrics, and arrangement to performing and recording all instruments. With Ayumu Matsuki in charge of mixing, he completed the self produced album THE DARK IN MY HEAD 2014 2015 Changed his artist name to THE FLYING BED and established a unique style creating an original sonic world using only reverb heavy electric guitar and vocals. Started performing live once a month in Tokyo. Around the same time, he received comments from music critic Gaku Torii Ive encountered a wonderful singer songwriter! With a beautiful voice rich in falsetto, melodies that carry a sense of sadness and nostalgia, and lyrics that, while using gentle words, coolly yet kindly gaze at the absurdity of the world and the inner workings of humanity All of this combines to create a powerful presence in his songs that surges like waves. In a sense, I believe he is a genius. The phrase an encounter with the depths of the soul comes to mind. If I were to compare, I sense commonalities with artists like Jeff Buckley, Marc Almond, This Mortal Coil, Morrissey, Lazarus, The Durutti Column However, this individuality is uniquely his own. I strongly encourage you to listen to this remarkable artist as well Gaku Torii (music critic) 2018 Released the music video for ELECTRICMANSION from the self-produced album THE DARK IN MY HEAD 2019 Released one new demo track per month on SoundCloud. 2020 Started distribution of the first demo album THE DARK IN MY HEAD (produced in 2012) on Bandcamp.
