Artist Name: Shuto Instagram (Main): https://www.instagram.com/shuto_dnim_ruoy_eerf/ Instagram (Info): https://www.instagram.com/shuto_info/ Shuto spent his early childhood in Indonesia and Australia because of his fathers work as a photographer. Music from overseas was always around him, and from a young age he grew up hearing Black music and Western music. During his early teens in Australia, he started listening to hip hop. At the age of fifteen, after moving with his family to Okinawa, he began writing rap lyrics in English. After finishing high school, he moved to Tokyo. During this period he was influenced by artists such as BRON-K, Beni Zakura, and CHOUJI. This led him to aim for a style that places Japanese lyrics on melody. After his time in Tokyo, he returned to Okinawa in 2019. With support from CHOUJI, he released the single "packback" in 2019 under the credit CHOUJI, Shuto feat. MuKuRo. From that point he continued to create music actively. His 2021 music video "Sukina Koto" helped him gain wider attention. In addition to his own releases, he appeared in major projects in 2023 such as Red Bull RASEN and THE FIRST TAKE as a guest for CHICO CARLITO. Both videos passed one million views on YouTube. Requests for features and live shows increased, and he became recognized as one of the leading artists from Okinawa. Shutos music expresses personal struggle, conflict, and the resolve shaped through these experiences. His emotional vocal style gives his work an originality that goes beyond the usual category of rap. Because of this, he receives strong support both inside and outside the hip hop scene.
