Tokyo-based rapper ARuM releases his 2nd EP "JOBAN". This second EP comes a year after the release of his first EP, "Fragment," and is a work that shows the changes in ARuM's environment and state of mind over the past year, as well as his own thoughts and ideas about the chaos of today's society. The guest artists on this album include his close friend S$P, as well as his hometown friends Pure Dz and SO, and all the tracks have a drill sound. The recording and mix mastering was done by Atsuki Otaki of Evoel Studio. 2nd EP "JOBAN" is composed only of drill sounds, which are currently making a big movement in Japan, so it is a work that cannot be missed in the current HIPHOP scene. A rapper born in 2000 and raised in Kashiwa, Chiba, Japan. He began his career as an audio engineer before fully pursuing music as a rapper around 2022. In 2023, he gained major recognition after advancing to the SELECTION CYPHER of RAPSTAR 2023, where he was selected as one of only 30 finalists out of 3,457 applicants. In 2024, he released TOKYO, a track expressing both his love and hatred for the city. He was also featured by the Japanese magazine Cyzo as one of the next-generation rappers to watch. In 2025, he released his first full-length album, StillARuM. His raw and unfiltered style, portraying everyday life and personal struggles without embellishment, resonated strongly with discerning hip-hop listeners and earned him critical acclaim. In 2026, he continued his momentum by releasing the collaborative mixtape THE BOX with his close collaborator SSP, further solidifying his growing presence in the scene.
