    Born in Hiroshima, Japan, Hitomi Shimatani made her major debut on July 28, 1999. Throughout her career, she has released numerous acclaimed works that transcend musical genres, captivating audiences with her exceptional vocal ability and her uniquely clear, expressive voice. Her remarkable versatility allows her to effortlessly perform ballads, dance music, Latin-inspired songs, pop, and anime themes, earning her recognition as one of Japan's leading female vocalists and the admiration of fans across multiple generations. Her signature songs include Amairo no Kami no Otome (The Girl with Chestnut Hair), Perseus, Papillon, and YUME Biyori, all of which have become enduring hits. She appeared in the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (Japan's prestigious New Year's Eve music program) for four consecutive years, and has received numerous honors, including the Best New Artist Award at the Japan Cable Awards and the Gold Prize at the Japan Record Awards. As a live performer, she is also highly acclaimed and continues to hold concerts throughout Japan.     幼稚園では鼓笛隊、 小学校は管楽器(トロンボーンとユーフォニウム)そして小学校4年生でラップを始め、 中学校3年の時にお年玉でテクニクスのターンテーブル2台とベスタックスのミキサーを購入し、 高校時代はMPC2000XLというドラムマシーンで打ち込みとDJ、 サーフィンに明け暮れる。 レジェンドサーファーを父に持つ僕は、 大学一年生の時に全国学生サーフィン大会(フレッシュマンの部)で学生チャンピオンに。 20歳でボブ・マーリーをカバーしラップする人生初のバンドを結成。 その後2001年9.11 まさにあの時あの瞬間、 大学のゼミ合宿でNYにいた僕は友人と貿易センタービルにのぼろうとしていて、 目の前で爆風を受ける。 セントラル・パークに逃げて震え上がっていた僕らは体育座りをしていたところがちょうどジョンレノンの暗殺された場所、 ボブ・マーリーが倒れた場所だった。 命からがらNYから帰ってきた僕は、 Rize, The BonezのJesseの紹介でShenと出会い、 日米合作の世界の平和を歌うユニットDef Techを結成。
