---------------------------
The artist, being a second-generation hibakusha (atomic bomb survivor), born to a father who experienced the atomic bombing in Hiroshima, has continued to sing a song called "Song to the Sky-Memory of Hiroshima & Nagasaki-" since the early days of their career. This song, infused with the wishes and prayers passed down from their family, has been reborn with a new string arrangement and is included in this new album. Also features three tracks filled with prayers for peace, including a flute instrumental.
Additionally, the artist launched a project to collect origami cranes from fans, and the breathtaking album cover was created using around 2,000 paper cranes. This masterpiece, imbued with prayers in every detail, has finally been completed.
Mariko plays the flute and conveys messages through her sincere voice and heartfelt lyrics. She performed the ending theme "Ashita Tenki Ni Naare" for the TV anime [Ocha-Ken: Ryokutto Monogatari] and "Kasa" an insert song for the stage play [Kujira no korawa Sajo ni Utau]. As a flutist, she has contributed to various works, including the theme song "Marukaite Chikyuu" for the anime [Hetalia: Axis Powers] and [Go! Princess Precure Vocal Album 1] . She has also participated in music for musicals "A3". Under the name MARY, she contributed to the cover album "Sweet Days - Acoustic Melody", which was released across several Asian countries including Japan. She has been involved in numerous cover works, commercial songs, and more. Known for her talent in creating puns (self-proclaimed "Dajarenja" or Pun Ranger), her witty puns during live MCs have become a fan-favorite highlight. Mariko's charm lies in her friendliness, cheerful personality and the powerful messages in her music.
