Composed around 2007 for a stage production, Submarine Walk evokes the serene experience of strolling through an underwater world - like walking beneath gliding fish in a tunnel of a quiet aquarium, or drifting gently through the stillness of the deep sea.
Scored for a woodwind quartet (flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon), the piece explores the distinct character of each instrument, weaving them together into a gentle, immersive sonic tapestry.
With its tranquil and mysterious atmosphere, the music invites listeners into an "ocean of sound", a dreamlike deep where silence sings and time slows.
Composer, Arranger, Orchestrator, and Keyboardist. Raised in Australia during childhood, I later returned to Japan and majored in composition at university, followed by graduate studies in film music. After completing my graduate degree, I began my professional career as an assistant to Joe Hisaishi. Since then, I have been involved in a wide range of projects, including films, TV dramas, and commercials, gaining extensive experience in high-level productions. As an orchestrator and copyist, I have collaborated with composers across different generations and genres, supporting music production at the forefront of the industry. After dedicating time to raising my children, I have resumed my journey to share my own music with the world. I am currently releasing works that I have cherished over the years, including orchestral-based soundtracks and vocal tracks featuring Synthesizer V. Embracing this era where individual artists can share their music globally, I aim to reach more listeners and connect through my sound. I hope that the music I have nurtured will touch someone's heart and open the door to new worlds.
