POPPIT, a five-member girl group composed of Japanese and Korean artists, has officially announced their debut digital single, "Snap & Glow," marking an electrifying arrival onto the global music scene.
Rooted in the Neo Shibuya-kei and Dance-Pop tradition, "Snap & Glow" is a BPM 126 production that draws its visual and sonic inspiration from the neon-drenched nightscape of Tokyo's Shibuya district. The track fuses swung four-on-the-floor kicks, synth brass stabs, and jazzy chord modulations with the melodic vocal sensibility that defines contemporary J-Pop - a sound equally at home in an intimate headphone session as it is commanding a dancefloor.
Lyrically, the song captures the electric energy of a generation that moves through life with a camera flash in hand - confident, alive, and unapologetically present. The track showcases the group's versatility through the smooth mid-range lead vocals of Luna, the emotionally charged pre-chorus delivered by Sienna, and a sharp, rhythmically precise rap verse from Quinn, all anchored by layered group harmonies that bring the chorus to life.
POPPIT - whose name embodies the spirit of "bursting forward" - consists of five members: Hina Hanasaki, Yuri Seo, Miori Nanase, Sora Choi, and Ruka Asahina. Across Two Decades, a Passion for Music Rekindles! During his high school and university years, he poured the thoughts within his heart into self composed songs. These tracks, brimming with the youthful energy and the power to create something new, have been brought back to life in the modern era with the help of AI. After entering the workforce and gaining various experiences, there was a period when he drifted somewhat from music. However, a chance encounter reignited the love for music that lay dormant deep within his heart. To the melodies and lyrics of that time perhaps a little immature but filled with purity he is now adding his current experiences and new sounds, breathing new life into them. Creating music together with AI has become a precious opportunity to objectively re-examine his past creations and gain fresh ideas. The music born from the intermingling of past and present is filled with nostalgia and progress, and above all, the joy of making music and new discoveries. Having broken a long silence in his musical activities, his sound, which now begins to walk the path of music once more, unfolds a special world of sound where the warm feelings of AI and humanity blend together. This project, which aims to complete the unfinished dreams of his youth with current technology, is now attracting much attention.
