A dance of shadows, stained in velvet black

Chasing false lights on a hollow track

Mending broken bonds with a silver thread

Ideal worlds are crumbling, filled with dread

Pain dissolves into the endless night

Threads of fate are pulling, binding tight

The screams are lost, no answer in the air

Only silence echoes, a heavy cross to bear

I offer up this prayer in obsidian

Until this body burns away, into the end

Singing out the poems of a slow decay

To lead the soul to where the final light will stay

Memories are drowning in a sea of gray

Shifting visions start to fade away

Bells of lament ringing from a distant shore

Before the silence swallows us for evermore
