The fourth release from Japanese AI virtual band NORA is a tribute to the white sesame of Kikai Island in the Amami archipelago, the top sesame-producing region in Japan. With a 100-year-old heirloom variety cultivated on raised coral reef terraces, sown in May and harvested in September, this is a song of pride and heritage. Built on Amami min'yō rhythms with sanshin, taiko, and festive call-and-response shouts.
