This is Ena Fujita!
I released my new single, "Kimi to Junbungaku" (Pure Literature with You), at the end of October.
Writing lyrics and composing music is something I can't stop doing in life.
As my smartphone's voice memos began to pile up with songs I played and sang,
we each began working on a song to survive through music in our own way.
This song is filled with the raw emotion of everyday life and love, conveying the emotions that arose after the birth of a child and the agonizing conflict of continuing life despite that, while switching between "I" and "me" (myself).
Michihiro Kuroki, originally a drummer, arranged the song beautifully. He provided guitar, drums, keyboards, and mixing.
He worked incredibly hard to get this song registered on Tunecore.
The bass was recorded by Takaaki Asakura, who has performed with us on stage many times as a support band. His playing skills are as incredible as ever, and he provided careful and precise direction during vocal recordings.
Having the opportunity to create music with these two longtime friends was invaluable to me, and it gave me the feeling that my fading confidence was being rekindled.
Once we have a few songs together as a trio, we'd like to release an album!
Ena Fujita is a singer-songwriter from Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. She is currently also the vocalist and guitarist of the rock band "yesAND". Her distinctive speaking voice, often described as an anime voice, is strikingly contrasted with the powerful singing voice she unleashes on stage. She possesses the expressive power to transform into a different protagonist with each song, depicting the nuances of emotion and humanity from her own unique perspective. She is also highly regarded for her physical expression cultivated through her dance experience and for creating a worldview that includes fashion, and continues to work across music, words, and visuals. While rooted in classical music, Japanese popular songs, and R&B, she has arrived at the form of expression of a rock band. A bandage for wounds, and songs and humor for the heart.
