「Out of Breath」は、NOTHING TO DECLAREにとって2020年以来となる待望の新作であり、プロジェクトの新たな幕開けを告げる楽曲となっている。本作は、Mas Kimuraによる音楽活動の次章の始まりを力強く示している。
本楽曲はMas Kimura自身によって完全セルフプロデュースされ、ミックスはSaosinの創設メンバーであり、現代ポストハードコアおよびオルタナティブロックのサウンド形成に大きく貢献してきたプロデューサー／ミキサーのBeau Burchellが担当。これまでにSenses Fail、Hail the Sun、The Bronxなどのアーティストと手掛けてきた実績を持つ。さらに、マスタリングはグラミー賞ノミネート歴を持ち、ゴールドおよびプラチナディスク受賞作品にも携わるMike Kalajian（Rogue Planet Mastering）が担当。Bad Omens、Of Mice & Men、Memphis May Fire、Emarosa、Hands Like Housesなどの作品を手掛けてきた彼の手により、力強く洗練されたダイナミックなサウンドに仕上がっている。
