Does your wounded heart stil ache today?
Do you hate yourself, can’t turn away?
Clutching painkilers, headed to the gig
Shaking inside, afraid to let go
But it was different
That soul smiled
Yes, it was different
Singing free
Music won’t change your life, I know
But I won’t ever let go, I promise
Music gives tomorrow a gentle groove
It stays with you in joy and in blues
I heard a voice that swayed like wind
Beyond al pride, I saw it shine
It touched my soul, my trembling ceased
Harmony kept me safe til home
If even someone like me can breathe again
Even in a world like this, a tiny kindness stil remains
Ah, that was different
Yes, it holds me
But it was different
Singing for tomorrow
Music won’t change your life, I know
But I won’t ever let go, I promise
Music gives tomorrow a gentle groove
It stays with you
Music won’t change your life, I know
But I won’t ever let go, I promise
Music gives tomorrow a gentle groove
It stays with you in joy and in blues

Different
Kijimael
The third release in a series of three songs distributed biweekly is "Different."
This track marks Kijimael's first ambitious attempt at writing lyrics in English.
With its Lo-fi, dreamy production, and the gentle resonance between Kijimael's slightly wistful voice and ukulele, this acoustic pop gem has come to life.
Comment by Kijimael
After attending a live concert by an overseas artist and feeling inspired by the way they performed, I decided for the first time to complete a song entirely in English. What emerged from that experience was this:
~No matter how you feel,
no matter how much courage you think you've received,
I believe that strength was yours all along~
That is the message I wrote into "Different."
