Tarah Kikuchi
Tarah Kikuchi began creating music through home recording in the late 2010s. His work is characterized by a distinctive sound that blends a foundation of 1970s rock with musical elements from South America and France, along with the atmosphere of bedroom pop. His Japanese lyrics uniquely combine feelings of anxiety with a sense of humor. In 2021, he formed Tarah Kikuchi with Strange Bedfellows and began performing live with the band based in Tokyo. The band's original lineup consists of Shuzo Tajima and Kaito Shimoda from the hip-hop unit PICNIC YOU, singer-songwriter Wagatsuma, and Kai Seki, who has been active as a drummer in numerous underground bands in Tokyo.
