Artist Profile

  • YUI KOBAYASHI

He started writing lyrics and composing music in his late teens, and was mainly active in bands in his 20s and early 30s. He formed and disbanded bands such as "The Sicks," "Two pills on the beach," "the lastwaltz," "the Syda," and "Everyday Sundays," and eventually performed under the name "marebito" with no fixed members. In 2021, he also formed a band called "yuglet waltz" and has been active in music in various forms. He absorbs expressions from the folk songs his mother listened to when he was young, the Japanese punk and guitar rock he listened to in high school, and the novels he liked, and creates his own world and sings them. He likes emotional things, and his lyrics and melodies are generally like that.
