What makes it harder is that there's no one to blame. No one was cold to you, no one disliked you. Everyone is perfectly kind, and still you're the only one who keeps failing to connect. Which leaves one conclusion: that you're the one who's out of tune. That thought quietly wears away at the edges of who you are, from the inside.
