    Madoka Azuma made her debut on an indie label in 2002. Just her and her acoustic guitar, Madoka writes her own music, lyrics, makes her own artwork, and has sold over 3,000 CDs by hand. Madoka was also featured on NHK's "Mina No Uta". Along with releasing various works in the J-POP indie scene, she has written music and lyrics for other known artists, and has performed music for stage dramas. She also frequently DJ's on internet radio. From 2009 Madoka began self-producing and releasing independently, writing and recording all of the instruments by herself. She is known for her Pop-meets-Rock 'n' Roll sound, her fun-loving and upbeat, but often cynical lyrics about love and life's discord, and her amazing live performances. When not playing with a backing band, Madoka performs with a loop station creating vocal harmonies, rhythms and backing guitar parts on the spot, making it sound almost like a full-band experience.
